Some recent pictures of the kids . . .

Just some recent pictures of the kids for everyone to see! The first one is Brant, Reese and Collin (my niece and nephew) at the balloon festival. The last ones are some that were taken of the girls for my neighbor's clothing line. The middle picture of Claire made Earnshaws, a magazine for the children's retail industry. She's famous I guess. :)

Brant's First Day of Kindergarten!

I cannot believe that it is here at last. I definitely shed a few tears this weekend. I am so proud of Brant but worried about how he will like school and if I made the absolute most of the time I was home with him. I think he will enjoy school once he makes friends and gets used to the routine. Luckily, he has a couple of boys in his class that went to preschool with him at the Callier Center the year before last. I hope they will remember each other. I pray he will make friends easily and find school to be rewarding and fun. He did enjoy picking out his Buzz Lightyear backpack and was excited to wear it this morning. I can't believe how fast we have arrived at "big boy" school. For a mommy it is a hard day, but at the same time we are incredibly proud of how well he is doing!

Waiting for Brant to Get Out of Summer Camp

Brant is doing a summer camp and the school he is going to be attending in the fall, so everyday the girls and I head down to pick him up from school around noon. We ended up getting there about an hour early this week so I let the girls get out and play in the "learning garden" and I snapped a few pics. All was well until Cate pushed Claire off of a cement block . . . but no permanent injuries.

George Michael Concert

Brian had a couple of extra tickets to see G. Michael in Commscope's box at the AAC, so Mitzi went with me and we had a fun evening. It was a fun show, but since he got started an hour late we had to leave a little early. My monkeys get up early and mommy needs to be in bed by midnight.

More Pics from the holiday weekend

An Eventful 4th of July Weekend

Brian took off a few days before the 4th of July weekend, so we decided to take the kids out to do a few fun things. We went to the Dallas World Aquarium and had a great time, as usual. I couldn't believe how crowded it was on a Wednesday morning. We also did a little swimming at home and took the kid's up to enjoy a few things at the mall.

The girls had a couple of firsts. The took their first carousel ride, but were so busy looking at all the lights, mirrors, etc. that I couldn't really get a good picture. They also wore their first "dog ears" courtesy of Nana.

We went to Kemp for a few days to spend time with mom and Fermin and had a wonderful, relaxing time. We were able to shoot off some of our own fireworks, let the kids ride the battery-operated cars and just roam around the open spaces and swim. The girls thought the cows were too funny.

The twins are 18 months old!

Cate and Claire had their 18 month check-ups with their pedicatrician yesterday. He gave them an A+ and says they are doing great! Claire is in the 95- 97% range for height and the 75% range for weight and Cate is 75% for height and 25% for weight. I can hardly believe they have been here for a year and half. They are adorable and keep us laughing.

Summer is offically here!

And that means lots of fun in the sun and water. All of the kids love to go outside and the girls are especially a handful. We went to the splash park this week and they had lots of fun enjoying some freedom to run around and get wet! Also, the girls have decided to give up the baby swings . . . they only want to swing in the big kid swings these days.

Had to show the brotherly love . . .

Can you say "headlock of love"? Gotta love older brothers!

Finally, a New Years Resolution Kept!

Well, I'm finally getting around to starting on one of my New Year's Resolutions. I said that I was going to get more up-do-date technologically and I think a blog is a step in the right direction. I wanted to share it with all of you and I'm going to try to keep in updated. :) Now, if I can just learn to text on my phone and download music on my IPOD I'll be really rolling!

These are some pictures from the Arboretum and Easter. As you can see my children are not really that cooperative in the picture department. We had a great time at the Arboretum and Brant got to see David Chicken who was performing there that day. We went to my mom's on the Saturday before Easter and the kids just had a ball running around, hunting eggs and riding on Reese's motorized jeep. I think Claire is already heading down the "daredevil" path with her driving (and climbing). It was a great weekend and a great end to Spring Break.
